Valentin S. Velev

Data Scientist @ Codify

profile_pic.jpg

Hello and welcome to my personal website!

My name is Valentin Velev (Валентин Велев) and I am recent MSc Data Science (University of Konstanz) graduate. I have experience in AI (e.g., deep learning, NLP, RAG, agentic AI), machine learning (e.g., regression for prediction and classification, PCA, topic modeling, clustering), data analysis (e.g., EDA, causality, econometrics), and academic research. I currently work as a data scientist at Codify working on RAG and agentic AI evaluation. My research interest lies in utilizing complex mathematical models, such as LLMs, to solve complex problems across various academic and industry domains, focusing on education, health care, and climate change. Alongside my job, I am taking a course on full stack software development.

PS: If you are wondering why my website is valentinsvelev.github.io, it is because my middle name starts with an S… and mainly because the username valentinvelev was already taken on GitHub :/

PPS: If you are wondering where I am in my picture, it was taken in a quaint little French city called Colmar.
